Student profile – Nicholas Frizzel

I decided to study a Bachelor of IT because I wanted to expand my computer and networking skills.

RMIT had the degree I wanted to do and unlike some universities where the focus is on theory, the RMIT degree was structured to include many practical tasks.

The degree provides training in the wide range of skills that a system administrator may need on a daily basis.

I have really enjoyed learning how to use CISCO networking tools which will be very applicable in industry. I’ve also gained valuable skills in programming in several languages, as well as learning how to write scripts for operating systems.

Once I complete my degree, I’m aiming to gain first-hand experience in IT before working my way to managing a network.
