Student profile – Viraj Soman

After working for a year I realised that I was hungry for more knowledge and decided to pursue a Masters in Computer Science.

RMIT offered the right program for me in a great location. The flexibility and variety of subject selection available pushed RMIT ahead of the other universities I was considering.

The subject material is current and relevant to industry which means I’ve learnt about the latest technologies. The subjects combine theory and practical skills and ensure you gain the knowledge required to enter the world of work.

I have gained greater computer knowledge, an understanding of industry ethics and an ability to learn independently. I can also say that I have improved my communication and interpersonal skills.

I’m planning to work in the software industry where I can use my knowledge and further improve my skills. Ultimately I’d like to work in a role that allowed me to invent new technologies.
