Chancellery Our role
The Chancellery is led by Trent Gillam and is home to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Chancellery Support Team and University Events and Venues.
The role of the Chancellery includes:
- Providing executive assistance to the Vice-Chancellor
- Providing executive assistance to the Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President Resources
- Providing support to the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive meetings
- Facilitating the effective transmission of information
- Supporting the Vice-Chancellor's advisory committees
The senior executive group, also referred to as the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive (VCE), is responsible for:
- Strategic planning and management of RMIT’s discipline-focused colleges
- The development of student and industry relationships
- Strategic planning and management of the University’s academic processes
- Facilitating the University’s business systems
