You'll produce animation and interactive media creative works that reflect a clear vision, are creatively and technically excellent and apply knowledge and skills derived from the program and your practice.
This production-based program invites you to push your discipline practice to a new level while simultaneously developing a deeper, more reflective understanding of your work and its global context.
As well as production-based outcomes, you'll also develop the ability to critically analyse and write about your own and others' creative outputs, within the contextual frame of industry relevance.
Duration
1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time
This duration incorporates the graduate Diploma: 1 year full-time.
Features
Learning and teaching
RMIT offers a variety of learning and teaching approaches including lectures, seminars, studios, workshops, presentations, group discussions and syndicate work. These are primarily in English.
You will have access to the Learning Hub and other online and digital resources through the myRMIT student portal.
Ongoing assessment throughout the semester includes examinations, essays, reports, oral classes, presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.
Program structure
The interaction of shared courses will give you the opportunity to develop a network of like-minded creative practitioners within and beyond your specific area.
You need 144 credit points to qualify for this Master of Creative Media.
However, you can exit the program with a Graduate Diploma if you gain 96 credit points in the first 2 semesters (48 credit points per semester). To accumulate the 144 credit points necessary to qualify for the Master of Creative Media you must complete a further 48 credit points in the third semester.

Program entry requirements
An Australian undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or its equivalent. Applicants with significant work experience or professional practice may also be considered.

This program is full fee paying only. Postgraduate tuition fees vary according to each program and are adjusted annually.
Fee assistance
The following fee assistance is available for this program:
- FEE-HELP is an optional loan scheme that assists eligible full-fee paying students to pay all or part of their tuition fees.
Other fees
The equipment provided is extensive and will be suitable for most production, however, the scope and nature of your project may see you incur additional costs.
In addition to tuition fees there is also the Student services and amenities fee (SSAF). You may be able to defer the fee through the SA-HELP loan scheme.
Some courses attract additional expenses.
