Expert comment on school chaplaincy High Court decision

The High Court has this morning declared the school chaplaincy program constitutionally invalid.

Des Cahill, Professor of Intercultural Studies at RMIT University, is chair of Religions for Peace Australia, Australia's leading interfaith community organisation, and co-president of Religions for Peace Asia.

He is one of Australia's leading authorities on religious and interfaith issues.

Last year he co-authored the report for the Australian Human Rights Commission Freedom of Religion and Belief in 21st Century Australia.
