Further details
VCCCAR's third Annual Forum is a day-long event to showcase projects in their climate change research program. In response, leaders in climate adaptation will discuss ways that research can be used by different levels of government to assist the community and industry better adapt to the impacts of climate change and variability.
Of particular note is the launch of the Climate Change Adaptation Navigator by Donna Petrovich, MLC State Member of Parliament for Northern Victoria Region, and Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and Environment. This innovative guidance tool on climate change adaptation planning for local government has been developed by members of the Climate Change Adaptation Program (CCAP) in collaboration with VCCCAR and local and State Government partners. Hartmut Fünfgeld of CCAP will lead a session in the afternoon to introduce forum participants to the Adaptation Navigator and to explain the purpose and potential application of the tool.
