Furniture Design and Technology
Furniture Design and Technology allows you to bring your concepts to life. This discipline is design focused with underpinning production and craft aspects. A broad range of topics are covered within this discipline to enable you to design with deep understanding of the many aspects of modern furniture making and investigate contemporary, cultural and environmental aspects of furniture design and technology.
RMIT’s furniture programs are taught by industry practitioners from professional design and production backgrounds who are extremely experienced in the development of furniture for industrial production. RMIT offers you a furniture program to suit your needs; from Pre-apprenticeships through to Associate Degrees.
C2212: Certificate II Furnishing (Pre-Apprenticeship Cabinet Making)

Please note: The Diploma and Certificate IV in Furniture Design and Technology are no longer available to new students. However, additional places are now available in the Associate Degree in Design (Furniture) for 2012.
