Intellectual property can be created by both staff and students at RMIT. The following information will assist you in the identification, management and commercialisation, as appropriate, of RMIT intellectual property.
The creation and management of intellectual property is central to the development and use the outcomes from research and innovation. Intellectual property represents a property of your mind or intellect in the form of knowledge, discoveries and inventions. Intellectual property can be developed to produce commercial products and processes.
The following sections discuss concepts and processes involved in intellectual property.
