Michael O’Connell: The Lost Modernist exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery is open until 19 February 2012 and opened on 25 November 2011. The exhibition is co-curated by Harriet Edquist, Director of the RMIT Design Archives, and, Tansy Curtin, Senior Curator, Bendigo Art Gallery.

Autobiographics book launch

Autobiographics, a compilation of 50 years' work by Alex Stitt, was launched on 13 September 2011 at Storey Hall. Stitt is a renowned designer, illustrator, animator and RMIT University alumnus who studied at RMIT in the 1950s. His extensive collection of graphic works is housed at the RMIT Design Archives. He is the creator of much-loved animated characters such as Life. Be In It's Norm and Slip! Slop! Slap!'s Sid the Seagull. , The launch was attended by RMIT Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Margaret Gardner AO and Radio National host Phillip Adams AO, who spoke with great affection and admiration.
