On 16 December, Mr XIAO Songshan, (Andrew) and Mr ZHANG Xin, (John) from Tianjin completed a 12 week work placement program. The work placement program is a joint partnership between the City of Melbourne and the Tianjin Municipal Government and is an extension of the successful Tianjin Government Leaders Training Project which has been run at RMIT since 2004.
Andrew, who is Director of the President’s Office, Tianjin University, worked with RMIT University, Victoria University and the Box Hill Institute to establish professional connections and gain insight into development strategies and industry engagement practice within Australian institutes.
John, who is the Student Recruitment Director for the Tianjin University of Sport, spent time with RMIT University, the State Netball Hockey Centre and the City of Melbourne to learn from Melbourne’s expertise in sport events management and recreation services.
