The draft version of the compliance policy is now closed for comment
The original compliance policy was developed as part of the original compliance management framework in 2008, with a supporting corporate compliance strategy. The revised compliance policy has been expanded to incorporate the key compliance principles previously included within the strategy, resulting in the policy reflecting AS 3806:2006 (Australian Standard for Compliance Programs) and eliminating the need for the supporting strategy document.
The revised policy more closely reflects actual compliance activities undertaken to improve awareness and performance, developed since the original policy was written; including the compliance champions network, compliance breach reporting processes, and the use of the annual compliance action plan to articulate improvement strategies which replaces the purpose of the former corporate compliance strategy.
Feedback on the draft policy would be appreciated. In particular, comment to ensure it meets the needs of all compliance related staff / processes throughout the University, and not just those areas managed or overseen by the Senior Manager Compliance, would be valuable to assist in making the document a representative statement of compliance management University-wide.
